VENİ VİDİ ÇİZDİ
Çocukluğumda en keyif aldığım şey ailecek hep beraber evde oturduğumuz akşamlarda gerek siyah-beyaz gerekse renkli tab edilmiş pek çoğu solmaya yüz tutmuş ama anısal değerinden zerre kaybetmemiş albümlere özenle yerleştirilmiş resimlere bakarak yaşadıklarımızı tekrar yad etmekti.
What I enjoyed most in my childhood was to reminisce about what we had experienced in the evenings when we sat at home together as a family, by looking at the pictures in both black and white and color, many of which were on the verge of fading but carefully placed in albums that had not lost any of their commemorative value.
Dijital devrim ile tab edilen fotoğraflardan cep telefonlarında, USB belleklerde, bilgisayarlarımızda, bulutta, vb medyalarda saklanan fotoğraflara hızlı bir geçiş yaptık. Belki çektiğimizi anında görüyor olmanın rahatlığı, daha önceleri makinedeki filmin bitip de tab edilmek üzere fotoğraf stüdyosuna teslim edilip yine aynı stüdyodan kartlara basılmış teslim almaya gidene kadar yaşadığımız merak ve heyecanın önüne geçti. Hayatın hızı fotoğraflarımıza ve anılarımıza bulaştı. Hatta bu hız çekilen fotoğrafların saklanması hususundaki hassasiyetimizi de köreltti. Nice fotoğraflara aktardığımız anılarımızı dijital medyada telefon değiştirirken, bilgisayarlarımızı formatlarken kaybettik ama buna çok da takılmadık.
With the digital revolution, we have made a rapid transition from photos stored on mobile phones, USB sticks, computers, the cloud, etc. Perhaps the comfort of seeing what we were shooting instantly overcame the curiosity and excitement we had previously experienced until the film on the camera was finished and delivered to the photo studio to be tabbed and we went to receive it printed on cards from the same studio. The pace of life has infected our photos and memories. In fact, this speed dulled our sensitivity to the storage of the photos taken. We lost our memories that we transferred to many photos while changing phones and formatting our computers in digital media, but we didn't get too hung up on this.
Ben sonradan olma bir sanat uğraşanı olarak, bu sergide dijital ortamda sakladığım gezip gördüğüm ve kendi fotoğrafladığım anıları stüdyoda tab ettirmek yerine kuru boya ve sabit kalem yardımı ile kağıtlara aktarıp sizlerle paylaşmak istedim.
As an afterthought art professional, I wanted to share with you the memories that I have stored digitally in this exhibition, which I have visited and photographed myself, by transferring them to paper with the help of dry paint and fixed pen instead of having them tabbed in the studio.
